A road less traveled

I'm so happy that the weather is finally warming up here in Toronto because I really wanted to wear these high waisted floral shorts. I got them sometime in the fall/winter months during a sample sale and absolutely love them. I love that they have a scallop hem and I thought they go really well with my lace crop top for a summer look. This is definitely one of my favourite summer pairings.

The cutout

Zara has done it again ladies and gents!! If you've been a reader for a while you probably know that Zara is one of my favourite store. I was never a big fan of cut out dresses because i found they fit funny around my waist, it was usually too loose around the stomach area and it just looked retarded. Don't get me wrong though i think they are absolutely stunning and I was really sad when I had not luck with them; until of course i came across this one from Zara. It fits like a glove and the colour is striking (which is also a very me colour). I kept it simple by pairing it with black and gold accessories and a touch of purple lipstick.

Leftinpink x Revlon Colorstay Event

Yesterday I attended the Revlon Colorstay event and it was probably one of the best events I've been to in a while. Held at the Panarama Lounge on the 51st floor of the manulife building, bloggers from across the city got together to test and review the new Revlon Colorstay product line while enjoying the view of the city. It consisted of everything from face to eyes to lips and even a total of 30 new vibrant nail colours and a top coat. The event was very well organized with each group of products beautifully presented at separate stations. My friend Samantha who is also a blogger over at Nail Art Couture and I were given a shopping card and was told to go around to each station to try the products and mark down what we liked. While all this was happening, we were also offered lots of delicious finger foods and a list of cocktail drinks made right at the bar.

The star of the event was the launch of the new Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume mascara. As described in the media kit:

"The Revlon Bold Lacquer lacquer film technology combines two different polymers that anchor the mascara to the base of lashes, stretching a smooth film to the tips for incredible length and volume. The intense colour pigments deliver a buildable lustrous, deep colour to lashes."

And trust me ladies, this IS the mascara you've been waiting for.

At the end of the event, the card was given to a Revlon representative so they could prepare a personalize goodie bag with all the items on our list. We were told that whichever item that they didn't have at the time that it was going to be mailed to us. I personally thought that that was an excellent gesture on Revlon's part. It was definitely a lot of fun and i look forward to seeing all the Revlon Colorstay products which will be available in stores across Canada starting May and June 2014.

What do you think of these new products?

Bonjour my love

Bonjour mon amour! Hello my loves, This post actually has nothing to do with french at all except that it is the only thing i think of when i read my tee. I've actually been looking for a graphic tee to go with this skirt and you'd be surprised that it was much harder to find a few weeks back than now. Now i can find one of these printed word tee in almost every store i shop at. Go figures... when you don't need something you see it everywhere. Well good thing is you can never have too many tees, guess i'll be adding it to all the other million things i have in my closet. ^_^
